Terms and Conditions - Summary
The short version of our terms and conditions: what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, without the fine print.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hi there! This is a summary of our general Terms and Conditions. For complete information, see the detailed version.
THE ESSENTIALS
- By using loadfront, you accept these terms
- Each specific service may have its own additional terms (which prevail over the general ones for that service)
- If you have a registered account, we always give you advance notice if something important changes (30 days for significant changes)
- Keep your information up to date and use our services legally
- If you’re an EU consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason
- We take care of the infrastructure, you take care of your content
GETTING STARTED
- You create an account with your personal data, processed according to our Privacy Policy
- You sign up for services from your panel, our APIs, or by email
- If you sign up via API, it’s your responsibility to check the current price before activating
BILLING
- By the hour: every started hour is billed in full, with a monthly cap per machine
- Billed in arrears: the invoice is issued on the 1st for the previous month
- Founder pricing: the first 60 machines keep it as long as they stay active and are paid for, including when resized
- No lock-in: delete a machine whenever you like and it stops being billed that same hour
- Non-payment: we notify you 7 days before suspending anything
- Payment: card, SEPA direct debit (businesses and self-employed) or each invoice’s payment link; occasionally, bank transfer. Always in euros
- Invoices: electronic by default; paper on request (Spain only)
YOUR RIGHTS AS AN EU CONSUMER
- 14-day right of withdrawal with no explanation needed, from the panel or by email; you pay only for what you’ve used
- Exceptions: non-reusable configurations or already fully performed services
- For disputes: Spanish consumer arbitration, regional Arbitration Boards, or specialized mediation
YOUR CONTENT, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
- You’re solely responsible for what you upload or generate with our services
- Prohibited content: illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, malware, misleading advertising, or content that infringes third-party rights
- We may remove content that breaches these terms
SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
| loadfront handles | You handle |
|---|---|
| Physical and network infrastructure | Security of your services and access |
| Security of our own systems | Updates to your OS/apps |
| Availability, on a best-effort basis | Backups of your content (crucial!) |
| Service functionality | Legal compliance for your own data |
SERVICE LEVELS
We’re in launch phase and don’t yet publish a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA) with availability percentages or automatic compensation. As the service matures, we’ll publish specific, measurable commitments.
If maintenance requires restarting your machines, we give you at least 7 days’ notice, except for critical security patches.
PORTABILITY AND EXIT
- Free export tools in standard formats
- 30-day grace period after cancelling to export all your data; if you have virtual machines, they’re frozen when you cancel (to prevent abuse), you can ask us to export their disks during the grace period, and they’re deleted once it ends. The grace period isn’t billed, unless you undo the cancellation: then we bill their disks as those of a stopped machine
- A deletion certificate available on request
- No penalties for switching providers
LIABILITY LIMITS
- Maximum, the amount paid in the 12 months prior to the incident
- €300,000 professional civil liability insurance (Hiscox)
- We don’t limit liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or data protection breaches
IF THINGS GO WRONG
- Complaints: technical support from your panel or email hi@loadfront.com
- Response time: 72 business hours for acknowledgment, 7 business days for resolution
- Breach: we may suspend access, with a prior chance to fix it except in serious cases
- Applicable law: Spanish law
- Consumers: Courts of your domicile
- Businesses: Courts of Ciudad Real
